From illicit and bizarre sex to marketing illegal drugs and manipulating the Court system, this book has the lot, and it’s a true story! We start with memories of policing the streets to get a flavour of just what people will do to each other. This is followed by a detailed case study showing how easy it can be to manipulate our legal system for one’s own ends. Part autobiography of a retired cop but mostly of what happened around him during a career spanning around a quarter of a century, we are taken through the seamier side of society and shown the consequences. Few come out smelling of roses. The author calls himself The Slapper as he was served a supposed legal notice, on retirement, which sought to shut him up. (This is known as a Slapp – Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation). It worked for a while but is now seen as part of the story. Whilst going on to have a successful career in other fields the author’s time with the police force still haunts him.
