When civil war was inevitable, Bevel Grenville, a wealthy Cornishman, set about recruiting the young men of North Cornwall to form his regiment to fight for Cornwall and the King. When war came, he called on the Cornish Giant Anthony Payne to help him fight the English and drive them out of Cornwall. Based on the true facts from this historic period of the seventeenth century this is a story of heroism and tragedy, It follows members of the Bevel Grenville regiment through their adventures and lives during the English Civil War.
